I am a graduate student and faculty fellow at the Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in the department of music focusing on music theory. Before coming to Columbia I earned by BA at St. John's University in Collegeville, MN where I graduated Summa Cum Laude in Music and Philosophy. At St. John's I studied voice with Dr. Axel Theimer, the executive director of the Voice Care Network. My undergraduate thesis, "Phenomenology as the Basis of Music Analysis" earned be distinction on both departments. At Columbia I am a Faculty Fellow/Graduate student and right now work as the Graduate Assistant in the Diatonic/Chromatic Harmony and Counterpoint cycle. Also at Columbia, I work as the Subscriptions Manager of Current Musicology and serve on the editorial board. My administrative duties include serving as a music department representative on the Graduate School Advisory Council and organizing presentations for the bi-monthly Graduate Student Forum.
