About

Elizabeth Graue is Sorenson Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A former kindergarten teacher, she received her PhD in Research & Evaluation Methodology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her research interests include kindergarten policy and practice (particularly as they relate to readiness issues), home-school relations, research methodology, and classroom practice. She is currently engaged in a NSF funded professional development program for preK teachers focused on developmentally & culturally relevant preK mathematics. She is the author of Ready for What? Constructing Meanings of Readiness for Kindergarten and with Daniel Walsh Studying Children in Context: Theories, Methods & Ethics.
