My research led me to develop mathematical and statistical tools for the conservation of invertebrate biodiversity. I developed these tools from the available biodiversity databases which provide information on species occurrence (e.g, atlas, naturalist inventories, museum data), with inherent biases (quantity and quality) that must be taken into account in such developments. These developments were mainly based on the taxon of spiders, with applications on other terrestrial invertebrate taxa (carabidae) and marine (invertebrate assemblages of subtidal rocky areas).
