About

Brian is young into his research career, but already has a goal: to learn how the brain processes music, and apply what he learns to developing therapy for people suffering from developmental and degenerative disorders. While studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Boston University, Brian was inspired by reading Dr. Daniel Levitin's "This Is Your Brain On Music", and began to dig into the literature in the field. He is motivated by the research he's read, as well as his musical career (songwriter and manager of a DC-based a cappella group), and hopes to begin to make his own mark on the field in pursuit of a Ph.D in cognitive psychology/neuroscience.
