My work has centred on design, interactivity, and usability in a variety of domains, including Human-computer Interaction, Digital Art, and Learning. As a Research Fellow at the London Knowledge Lab, I’ve focused on Learning Design, tools for pedagogy design, technology-enhanced learning (TEL), and interactive artefacts. My prior research was on using traditional design methods such as sketching to support software engineering for Information Visualisation. My areas of specialist knowledge are Physical Computing, Information Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction, and Learning Design. I was a Director at design firm TinkerLondon (now closed), where we worked on projects that bridged the digital and physical worlds with interactive technology. Work we produced at Tinkerlondon has been exhibited at the New York Museum of Modern Art, ("Talk to Me" exhibition, 2011). I’ve also worked as a consultant on a range of projects in both User Experience and Information Design/Analysis.
