Bruno Santos Pimentel is a mechanical engineer and a PhD student in Computer Science at Federal University of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. His research is focused on the development of mathematical models and algorithms to optimize integrated production and transportation decisions on mining operations. He received his MS degree in Computer Science also from Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2002. He is a member of INFORMS and has worked as an engineer and consultant for Brazilian government agencies and for private companies such as Vallourec & Mannesmann, Arcelor Mittal and Vale. Bruno is currently working as a PMO for Research and Innovation for Usiminas, Brazil.
