A resident of Sarasota, Florida, vocal coach and technician Carlo Thomas owns and operates the Carlo Thomas Vocal Studio, where he provides voice guidance to a wide range of students and offers assistance in vocal repair. Concurrently, he stays busy preparing for a show entitled Off His Trolley, which highlights his experiences working with composers Timothy Gray and Hugh Martin. Prior to opening his studio, he performed with the Dallas Opera, New Jersey State Opera, San Francisco Opera, and New York Lyric Opera.
Carlo Thomas holds a bachelor's degree in dramatic arts from East Stroudsburg University, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The technician and coach has appeared on and off Broadway in a variety of productions, including The Phantom of the Opera and The Voyage. He has also been on television, performing in Fred Waring's Easter Special and in The Egg. In addition to these performances, he has directed productions of the Barber of Seville, among a number of other works for the stage.
