    Chavie Kahn is an active board member for several non-profit educational institutions in New York City and Israel. Formerly a commercial and securities litigator, Chavie Kahn has shifted her professional focus to the non-profit sector, where she has been working for the past 14 years. At New York’s Manhattan Day School, Ms. Kahn serves as the institution’s first vice president, developing strategies for the school’s continued success. Her responsibilities include overseeing communication with parents and managing areas such as best practices and revamping the website. Since 2005, she has also been board secretary for American Friends of Nishmat, a learning institution for women in Israel, and a new-generation board member for AMIT, a network that connects more than 90 Israeli elementary and high schools. Chavie Kahn received her bachelor of arts in English literature from Washington University. She then earned a juris doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class.
