Chih-Ming Hsieh received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan in 1997 and 1999 respectively. He is pursuiting his PhD at KIT – Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. His research supervisor is Prof. Dr. Jörg Henkel, Chair for Embedded Systems (CES).
Mr. Hsieh joined Institute for Information Industry, Taiwan as a software engineer in 1999. Between 2001 and 2003, he worked at Sony Digital Telecommunication Europe (later became Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB), Munich developing mobile handsets. In 2004 he returned to Institute for Information Industry and developed context awareness technologies. During the year 2006 to 2009, he worked on Java Virtual Machine technology at Aplix Corporation, Munich.
