Duties: • Mentoring The MOH staff of data management tools • Support the ICAP staff on Operation research • Support the MOH staff on HIV data management and utilization September 2008 to September 2010-Data Manager Nyanza Reproductive Health Society- NRHS-SHABS study Reporting to the Principal Investigator, I am involved in database management, weekly report writing and supervision of field activities. Duties: • Development of questionnaire in ACASI software • Writing of SOP’s for data management • Setting up of computers like software installations and troubleshooting • Data reconciliation, cleaning and generation of summary reports by preliminary analysis • Data collection from different sites of study into a central database • Ensuring the efficient supply of data collection tools in the sites of study August to September 2008 - Assistant data manager- KEMRI-RCTP-FACES Reporting to the data manager, I was involved in database management, generation of daily patient reports required for clients follow up and supervision of data entry clerks Duties • Design of database used to follow defaulting clients and lost to follow up clients • Database management using OPENMRS and Access • Generation of daily and weekly reports as required by the clinic and field department • Supervising the data entry clerks and correcting mistakes entered to ensure data integrity Research assistant, Jaguar Communication Limited, APHIA II NYANZA/WESTERN and ENGENDER HEALTH Working under the Principal consultant, I was fully involved in the research activities as a data manager, field coordinator, interviewer and analyst in the effect of post election violence and media utilization on HIV/AIDS, RH, FP, Malaria, TB, MCH and Gender Based Violence in Western and Nyanza provinces. February to March 2008, Media assessment research, for APHIA II NYANZA/WESTERN Duties • Development of data collection tool such as questionnaire and FGD questions • Coordination of data collection procedures in all the Districts in Western and Nyanza provinces • Training of the field interviewers and other research assistants • Data collection entry, analysis, report writing and interpretation of the report • Monitoring and evaluating all the field activities including the data integrity and data validity March 2008, Effect of post election violence on ART/PMTCT/OVCS, ENGENDER Health, in Nyanza Duties • Development of data collection tool such as questionnaire and FGD questions • Mobilization of participants to take part in the FGD and key informant interviews • Training of the field interviewers and other research assistants • Data collection, entry, analysis, report writing and interpretation of the report July 2007- to June 2008: Volunteer, Partners in Reproductive Health Project I was involved in VCT/STI Service utilization data entry, analysis and writing of the reports. In addition, I was also responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of field activities outreaches, mobilization and creating awareness among the youths of Kisumu district. Duties: • VCT and STI’S Database Management and analysis using SPSS, Ms. Access and Ms Excel • Training peer educators on HIV intervention strategies • Writing of weekly field reports and daily reporting to the field coordinator • Organizing, monitoring and supervising the youth groups field activities including the liaising with other organization to disseminate the services of NRHS/ PIRH • Educating the youth on matters concerning Reproductive health, STI’S’ and HIV/AIDS • Facilitation and hosting of radio programs on HIV/AIDS and other health related issues and general support to the media and communication. I also supported in the management of data Duties: • Design of questionnaires, Focus Group discussion questions and other data collection tools • Conducting Focus Group Discussion and one-on-one interviews • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis • Monitoring and Evaluation of data collection and entry procedures, systems cleaning and management • Writing of reports and giving the recommendations on the trend resulting from the analysis
