About

I am a Professor at the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University. I lead Data Analysis and Policy team within CRESR. I undertake applied policy and evidence based research for a range of funders including Central and Local Government Departments, Social Housing Providers, research charities such as the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and CRISIS. I am particularly interested in the interaction between labour market and housing policy with the welfare reform agenda. I am also keen to highlight the often very uneven spatial intended and unintended consequences of public policy decisions.
