Studied accounting, auditing and economics and completed accounting articles in 1979. Spent six years in the manufacturing sector as a financial and management accountant before moving into the more strategic side of private sector development.
In 1987 founded CMC and returned to the financial services sector, primarily focused on strategy, monitoring & evaluation and organisational development.
In 2004 developed the Genesis Programme, a process and methodology for strategy development particularly local and regional economic development.
In 2008 he joined mesopartner, an international knowledge firm that specialises in territorial development, competitiveness and development innovation.
Currently a technical advisor to SADC in the field of regional integration with a focus on strategy, risk management and monitoring & evaluation.
