About

Corrado Mencar is Assistant Professor in Informatics (Computer Science) at the Department of Informatics, University of Bari “A. Moro”, Italy. His research activities are mainly focused on Computational Intelligence, especially in fuzzy systems. For more than ten years he has been making research on interpretability of fuzzy systems, as recognized by several publications on international journals and conferences. He actively collaborates with international experts through the organization of scientific events, Ph.D. student exchange and joint authorship in scientific papers. Besides interpretability, he works on scientific tasks concerning Computational Web Intelligence (user clustering and profiling), Intelligent Data Analysis, Bioinformatics, etc. He is featured reviewer for ACM Computing Reviews and Associate Editor for the International Journal on Artificial Intelligence. He published more than 80 international and peer-reviewd articles. Among his institutional activities, he has been teching Programming Fundamentals and Information Theory for several years; he is member of the Ph.D. board of his Dept. and Scientific Coordinator of the Dept. Library.
