About

Born and raised in Ecuador, I have a first have exposure to the diversity of a tiny country with amazing biological and cultural diversity. My academic interests are a reflection of that diversity, moving from a first love with Ornithology, a long-term flirtation with the policy-side of Natural Resources & Management, and a current affair with all things Human Geography/Political Ecology via International Relations. DISCLOSURE: Previous to my current academic endeavor, I worked for almost 10 years with an Ecuadorian NGO affiliated with the U.S. based Rainforest Alliance.
