About

I received my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Chile, in Santiago Chile (2006). After this I moved to USC, South Carolina, USA to work with Dr. Robert Raguso until 2007. Then I returned to work with him at Cornell University until 2009. I'm interested in invertebrate behavioral development and ecological interactions. I'm inspired by the approaches that see organims as developmental systems that come in to being through dynamic processes, such as are proposed by the Autopoiesis and Natural Drift School of Though, started by Maturana and Varela, as well as in the Developmental System Theory by Susan Oyama.
