I am a retired pastor affiliated with the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. I earned a Masters of Divinity (1979) and Doctor of Ministry (1994) from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. My M.Div. project was titled "Stress in the Ministry," and my D.Min. Major Applied Project was titled "A Systemic View of Collaborative Leadership." The content of the MAP was a consideration of congregations as complex emotional and organizational systems with a particular interest in how the two systems interact with each other.
