A leader in the hospitality industry, Dan Fenton has earned recognition as a "top 25 influencer" in the publication Meeting News. Dan Fenton most recently worked at Team San Jose (TSJ), formerly known as the San Jose Convention and Visitors Bureau. In this role, he helped boost the city’s tourism presence and managed the organization’s theaters and convention center. Under his leadership, TSJ grew to include more than 300 employees, and its revenue increased to over $20 million. His unified “one team” approach to event and meeting planning won praise from industry professionals and resulted in a strong end-to-end customer experience.
Prior to joining TSJ, Mr. Fenton worked as a hotel executive. He gained more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality field at hotels in Minneapolis, Texas, and California.
Daniel Fenton earned his undergraduate degree in hotel administration and management from Cornell University. He attended the York School in Monterey, California, and now serves as a trustee of the private secondary school. He lives with his wife, Denise, an interior designer.
