About

I studied Molecular Biology at Simon Fraser University from 2000-2006. I got an amazing opportunity to work for the Chemical and Biological Defense Section of Defense R&D Canada - Suffield through the SFU Co-Operative education program. I worked on an ELISA-based serum screening assay for anti-Bacillus anthracis antibodies in human serum samples. I studied at the Genome Sciences Centre from 2007-2012 and have developed an interest in the following research areas: - Genetics of complex disease (specifically the human aging process) - Epistasis or gene x gene interactions - Mitochondrial genetics - Mathematical modeling of evolution and genetic architecture
