About

Daniel Brian Krupp leads the Program in Evolution of Governance at One Earth Future and directs the SALT Lab. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at Queen’s University. Daniel's background is in evolutionary biology and psychology. He earned a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behavior from McMaster University, has held postdoctoral fellowships in psychology and in mathematics, and was the recipient of the New Investigator Award from the Human Behavior and Evolution Society. His work focuses on the evolution of cooperation and conflict, primarily (though not exclusively) in humans, and has been published in Evolution and Human Behavior, Journal of Evolutionary Biology, and American Naturalist, among other well-regarded scientific outlets. Daniel’s research touches on a number of problems of social living, including kinship and ethnicity, the structure of competition, social exchange, violence, and reproductive decision-making.
