Daniel Wischounig-Strucl was born in 1978 in Klagenfurt, Austria. He studied Telematics at Graz University of Technology. In 2006 he earned his Master of Science (Dipl.-Ing.)-degree with distinction, doing his thesis in the field of RF identification and system simulation on embedded platforms. at the Institute for Technical Informatics (ITI). In June 2005 he joined the RF engineering group at CISC Semiconductor Design+Consulting GmbH in Klagenfurt as design and field applications engineer. The focus of his work was the design and development of RF sensor technologies, measurement and emulation systems based on embedded DSP and FPGA systems with high performance signal acquisition and generation units. He further was responsible for the development of advanced measurements and simulations suites based on National Instruments PXI hardware for RF tests and evaluations. Later he also joined the automative group where he developed testing environments for semiconductor manufacturers and supported those in the test and design process. He joined the Pervasive Computing Group in February 2009.
