About

Daniel was born in Ataye, North Shoa, Ethiopia in 1975. He followed his primary and secondary education in Debreberhan Town. He joined Addis Ababa University in 1995 and earned B.Sc. Degree in Biology in 1999. He taught high school Biology in Dire Dawa Comprehensive Secondary School until 2003. He left Dire Dawa and was hired at Blanc-Mesnil College (private) as environmental science instructor untill 2004. He joined Addis Ababa University for his postgraduate studies in the field of biomedical sciences. After three years he earned his M.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences in 2007. His masters thesis was entitled Malaria/intestinal helminths co-infections and anaemia in Antsokia-Gemza District, Ethiopia. He was supervised by Prof. Beyene Petros. After graduation, he was employed at Arba Minch University as a lecturer. He taught the course Parasitology for three years. Now he is a PhD student at Addis Ababa University. Daniel is married and live in Addis Ababa.
