About

I am a PhD candidate studying Technical Communication and User Experience Design at Old Dominion University. My research examines the roles of participants in co-creative gaming networks. I am especially interested in how those roles are impacted by the policies and technologies that try to shape participatory agency, and the efforts of participants to better understand their relationships with other network actors. My approach is interdisciplinary, merging theory and practice from several fields to explore ways to design for the negotiation of participatory agency in networks. I also work as a user experience architect for internet start-up companies.
