About

Until 2010, I was Assistant Director of Personalised Learning (Research-Engagement) at the Sixth Form College Farnborough, Hampshire. I am now an educational consultant, continuing my student voice and action research work with the college. I am also a full-time doctoral researcher at the Institute for Education with research interests in research-engagement and evidence informed practice. In previous roles, I worked at the University of Antioquia, Colombia, teaching psychology to prospective teachers; I have also worked as an Associate Lecturer for the Open University. Since returning to England in 1997, I have worked in the lifelong learning sector in the UK, much of which has been at The Sixth Form College Farnborough, where I started in September 2000 as a Personal Tutor and psychology teacher. Since September 2006, I have been responsible for action research projects at the college, organising an annual conference and editing an annual in-house research journal. I am also on the Editorial Board for the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) pre (Practical Research for Education) journal.
