David MacCoy coaches senior executives and managers, and facilitates organization development projects in the private, public and voluntary sectors as well as professional service firms. He is also a practitioner of Appreciative Inquiry, an organization analysis and development approach to planning, implementing and evaluating change.
After a decade in the public service, his consulting career over the past thirty years included eight years as Toronto Managing Partner for the Phillips Group. Later, he was Canadian Organization Effectiveness Practice Leader for Watson Wyatt Worldwide for five years. He spent from 1997 to 2002 as a partner in a London, UK, executive coaching and change management firm, Leadership First Limited. A significant focus of the firm was on Thomas Cook, including the financial services and travel divisions in change processes. An initial assignment was working with the senior executive team to ensure understanding, acceptance and commitment to a dynamic strategic plan that had been developed with the Boston Consulting Group.
