MA MD MRCOG
Dr. Walsh graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1983. He is co-founder, director and Consultant Gynaecologist at the Sims Clinic, Ireland’s largest dedicated IVF unit in Ireland. Dr. Walsh lectured at Trinity College and is a Consultant at St. Francis Hospital, Mullingar.
His initial training was in the the Coombe and Rotunda Hospital's in Dublin which was followed by postgraduate experience in Glasgow during which he became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He completed his thesis in the area of reproductive medicine during this time.
He returned to Ireland in 1991 as lecturer in Trinity College, Dublin and completed specialist training in Ireland in addition to Fellowship training in reproductive surgery at Vanderbilt University in the U.S.A
He trained in IVF with Dr. Sam Abdallah, medical director at the Lister Hospital in London an international authority on Assisted Conception and with Dr Tony Walsh at Dublin City University and Sims International Fertility Clinic. He is published widely and has a special interest in uterine pre-evaluation and embryo transfer. He co-developed Ireland’s first donor egg programme.
