About

Derek received his BSc (Hons) degree in Computing Science (Distributed Systems) from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2006 and his MSc in Systems Design for Internet Applications in 2007. Derek spent time working with Hewlett-Packard Research Labs and Prism Technologies dealing with the automated deployment of large scale systems using Java and CORBA. Derek is currently a PhD student in the school of Computing Science at the University of Newcastle, under the supervision of Dr. Nick Cook working on supporting accountability, provenance and governance of and for B2B interactions.
