My main interest is Evolutionary Paleoecology of marine ecosystems. In particular, I am interested in ecological dynamics on a regional scale and the relationship with global processes, and in understanding the factors regulating diversity in time and space. Therefore, I study the structure of communities and their changes through time, and I analyse the ecological and compositional changes related to global events. At this moment, I am focused in Late Paleozoic brachiopod-bivalve communities from Western Argentina, and their response to the Late Paleozoic Ice Age.
