About

I am a finalizing Ph.D. candidate, doctoral researcher, and graduate teaching assistant at the Laboratory of Planning and Project Management, Division of Transportation and Project Management, School of Civil Engineering, Engineering Faculty, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.), Thessaloniki, Greece. I have a M.Sc. degree in Engineering Project Management (2013, A.U.Th.), and a M.Eng. degree in Structural Engineering (2012, A.U.Th.). I have been a self-employed professional civil engineer since 2012, mainly offering consultancy and supervision for numerous private residential buildings, and particularly specializing in architectural and structural analysis, construction management, building energy footprints, and legal and/or regulatory issues. Even before finishing my M.Eng. degree and until 2014, I had also worked in a private construction company, firstly as a draftsman of architectural and civil engineering drawings, and then as a construction manager. I have been a full member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 2012, and an individual member of the International Association for Life Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE) since 2016. In addition, I have been a research member of TUD COST Action TU1406: Quality specifications for roadway bridges, standardization at a European level (BridgeSpec) since 2015. I have authored scientific journal articles, peer-reviewed conference proceeding papers, workshop papers, and theses. In 2018, I became a reviewer at the Journal of Infrastructure Systems of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). I had been the manager of the Undergraduate Students’ Internship Program of the School of Civil Engineering of the A.U.Th. (2014-2015), the technical coordinator of the local organizing committee for the CITC-8 Conference (May 27-30 2015, Thessaloniki, Greece), and the Vice President of the Civil Engineering Postgraduates and Ph.D. Candidates of A.U.Th. Association (2015-2016).
