Domenico Regonini graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry at the University of Parma (Italy) in 2002, with a final year thesis project on organic chemistry and the synthesis of heterogenous catalysts. At CNR-IMEM (2003-2004) in Parma (Italy) he worked on a project focused on the development and construction of a MOCVD reactor for the epitaxial growth of silicon carbide thin films, then he completed his PhD (2005-2008) at the University of Bath (UK) focusing on the synthesis of titania nanotubes via anodisation and the understanding of the growth mechanism. He currently works as a research officer at the University of Bath (UK) and his research interests are ceramic materials for sensor and biomedical devices.
