Dorothea Deus is a Geomatician, Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) junior researcher. She is working with Ardhi University, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in the Department of Geomatics, School of Geospatial Sciences and Technology (SGST) as an Assistant Lecturer. Her major area of interest are Remote Sensing, GIS, Digital Mapping, Geodesy and Global positioning System (GPS) and their application to Earth Sciences. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in the field of Geoscience, environment monitoring and modelling using Remote Sensing and GIS techniques.
