I hold a BSc in Biochemistry (second class honors) and an Msc. in Biochemistry degrees from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya. Currently, I am a third year PhD student of Bioinformatics at Rhodes University, South Africa. I have specialized skills and research interest in computational structural modelling of proteins for drug target identification. I have computer programming skills in Python, R, Matlab and Bash languages as well as high-performance computing. Further, I have commendable knowledge in Structural Bioinformatics, Bioinformatic algorithms, data mining and Artificial Neural Networks. My research interest focuses on combining structural bioinformatics, pharmacology and comparative genomics for identification of potential drug targets for economically important human diseases.
