A highly trained medical professional based in Ohio, Dr. Michael Bourn began preparing for his career as a student at The Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in public relations. Following this, he gained acceptance to the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, to receive a bachelor of science in human biology. Dr. Michael Bourn went on to earn a doctor of osteopathic medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine before continuing with postgraduate studies, including a residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a fellowship in pain and palliative care with The Ohio State University.
At present, Dr. Michael Bourn utilizes his training as medical director in the pain management services department at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Furthermore, he serves as an attending emergency physician at several Columbus-based hospitals and teaches as a clinical assistant professor of hospice and palliative medicine in conjunction with the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
