    With over two decades of experience as a neurosurgeon and researcher, Dr. Michael Thomas treats patients for issues pertaining to trauma of the spine and brain at Sea Spine Orthopedic Institute in Plantation, Florida. Prior to this practice, he served as a neurosurgeon at Health Management Associates in Yakima, WA where he helped develop the Central Washington Neuroscience Center. Additionally, Dr. Michael Thomas served a period of two years as chairman of the department of surgery at Yakima Regional Medical Center and Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Dr. Thomas maintains affiliation with a variety of medical professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery as well as by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. In his spare time, Dr. Thomas enjoys watching films and playing the piano. He also spends leisure time outdoors, participating in such sporting pastimes as golfing and fishing.
