Educational qualifications: • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) in Environmental Biology (in the process) Thesis title: “Molecular epidemic of HPV in Yunnan province and mechanism of its Pathogenicity.” Supervisors: Prof. Dr. Xia Xueshan. • Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) (2010). University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Lahore. • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M) (2008). University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Lahore. • B.A. Major in Economics (2006) Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan • Intermediate (2001), Dara Ghazi Khan Board,Dara Ghazi Khan , Bio-group (Class XII). • High School (2002), Dara Ghazi Khan Board,Dara Ghazi Khan , Bio-group (Class X). Experience: I have two years research experience in the field of animal science and technology. Currently I am working as a Ph.D. student at The Research Center for Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Life Science and Technology, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Kunming 650500, China. I have basically expertise in Molecular characterization and identification of DNA and RNA of viruses such as Human Papillomaviruses, HIV, HBV and Dengue Viruses and bacteria. These viruses are infecting individuals throughout the world. I am working for developing PCR, RT-PCR and NASH (Nucleic Acid Spot Hybridization) based protocols for the sensitive diagnosis of these viruses. Scientific Skills: I have expertise in following molecular biology and other techniques: Molecular Biology: Total genomic DNA/RNA isolation of viruses and bacteria from infected human and animals samples, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Nested-PCR, RT-PCR, Gel electrophoresis, Restriction Digestion, Radio labeling, Southern hybridization, Molecular cloning in cloning and expression vectors, Plasmid DNA isolation, SDS-PAGE, Western hybridization etc. Histo-pathological Analysis: Handling of light microscope, analysis and preparation and interpretation of the Cytological slides and histo-pathological slides. Animal Viruses: Foot-and-Mouth Disease is a severe, highly communicable disease of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and deer. It is caused by one of the smallest disease producing viruses known as FMD Viruses. The Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus is classified within the family Picornaviridae. RNA isolation from animal sample, characterization by PCR mediated methods. Animal feed formulation for both laboratory and companion animals. Others: Good knowledge in nucleotide, amino acid sequence analysis using bioinformatics tools likes NCBI Data Base, EMBL Data Base, Primer designing, Sequence (nucleotide and amino acid) analysis, BLAST, multiple sequence alignment, Mega 6 .0, Expasy, Clustal-W, Genomatix DiAlign, Recombination Detection Program, etc. and various other tools for genome analysis. Professional achievements: • Expertise to work with DNA and RNA viruses, including Human Papillomaviruses, HIV, HBV, Dengue Viruses, FMD viruses etc • Molecular characterization of Human Papillomaviruses, HIV, HBV, Dengue Viruses, FMD viruses from infected human and animal samples. • Developed ELISA, PCR, RT-PCR, RFLP and NASH based protocols for the sensitive diagnosis of infected human and animal samples. • Histopathological analysis by Electron microscope and Light microscope Address for correspondence: The Research Center for Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Life Science and Technology, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Kunming 650500, China. Permanent Address: Basti Bermani P/O Choti Zareen Dara Ghazi Khan.
