About

My research interests lie in understanding the evolution of nano- and micro-structure through the application of computational methods. I am interested in solidification and nanocrystal growth, as well as solid-state phase transformations and, in particular, the influence of trijunctions, stress fields, and defects and dislocations on moving boundaries. The phase-field and phase-field crystal models are well suited for investigating these effects, and I am focused on developing and improving numeric strategies to implement these models on high-performance computing hardware.
