Research interests

especially the mechanical properties and wear of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene as used in joint anthropology. My thesis specifically looked at the how the different types of cross-shear motionsI studied materials and design in medical devices

About

I did my graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!), originally from the great Pacific North-West (Go Cougs!). I studied wear in joint replacements, and am also interested in biomaterials, biomechanics, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and teaching. I enjoy cooking, board games, photography, biking, camping and hiking, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and racquetball.
