About

I'm a Research Assistant with the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation (CCi) (http://www.cci.edu.au). In this role I research issues related to the internet, digital technologies and copyright law. This role also sees me work as a Project Officer with Creative Commons Australia (http://creativecommons.org.au), the organisation that administers the Australian Creative Commons (http://creativecommons.org) licences and supports Australian licence users. At the core of the Creative Commons project is a suite of standardised licences, freely available to creators, that foster sharing and collaboration. Creative Commons builds upon the “all rights reserved” of traditional copyright to create a voluntary “some rights reserved” system. I'm a sometimes freelance journalist, pop-cult ranter, gin drinker.
