About

Emma is a Research Fellow with interests in applied climatology, air quality, GIS and public engagement. She has a broad background in geography, earth and environmental sciences, and research experience in academia and consultancy. Emma is currently working with Network Rail on Summersense, the NERC-funded project: Dynamic heat risk management to reduce the costs of propagating hot weather delays on the railway network. She is passionate about Athena SWAN and advancing the representation of women in geography and the sciences.
