About

Emre Salman received his B.Sc. degree (2004) in Microelectronics Engineering from Sabancı University, Istanbul, Turkey; M.Sc. degree (2006) in Electrical and Computer Engineering; and his Ph.D. degree (2009) in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Rochester, New York. Since 2009, he has been a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Rochester. He will join Stony Brook University as an Assistant Professor starting Fall 2010. His research interests include analysis, modeling, and design methodologies for high performance digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits and VLSI systems; physical design techniques to enhance performance, robustness, and reliability in monolithic, heterogeneous systems; on-chip noise management in large scale mixed-signal circuits. Long term research objectives include developing methodologies to coherently map emerging devices, technologies, and architectures to the circuit design process of integrated bio- and nano-electronic systems. He previously worked as a research intern at Freescale Semiconductor (2006 and 2007), Synopsys (2005), and STMicroelectronics (2004).
