Eric Vainer leverages more than 20 years of health care experience to serve as a senior board member with Dear Feet, a nonprofit organization that helps uninsured patients around New York City gain access to diabetic foot care. As the primary proprietor of Dear Feet, he leads efforts to ensure that underserved patients receive orthopedic shoes and foot care information. Eric Vainer, a licensed pedorthist, uses his healthcare expertise to oversee the organization’s examination facilities, orthopedic manufacturing operations, and educational seminars.
In addition to his role with Dear Feet, Vainer also serves as the administrative director of PALA Community Care, where he helped create an emergency transportation service for patients with limited mobility who experience acute distress. His leadership role requires him to manage all staff members and handle clinical compliance matters.
Over the course of his career, Eric Vainer has worked to empower people with disabilities by eliminating discriminatory hiring practices, generating independence-centered educational programs, and conducting outreach clinics. He further supports people with disabilities and health concerns as a contributor to Goodwill Industries and as a board member of Community Medical Disorder PC.
