Erjiang Fu is a senior Environmental IT Specialist at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. His key role at the bureau is to lead or contribute at a senior level to software design, development and testing for the National Environmental Information Systems. These information systems integrate environmental information across disciplines at federation level for better information sharing and decision-making, particularly in response to climate change. Examples of these systems are Australian Water Resource Information System, National Air Quality Information System, Great Barrier Reef Information System, etc.. Erjiang Fu has over 15-year experience in the fields of computation, geospatial informatics, environmental modeling, climate change and impacts analysis, satellite positioning techniques, and management. He received his Bachelor Degree in computer engineering in China and conducted postgraduate studies at the University of Auckland and the University of Melbourne specializing in geospatial information and environmental modeling. His current doctoral study at RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) is about Global Positioning System Radio Occultation Atmospheric Observation Technology. He also holds a graduate certificate of research management and commercialization. He has been involved in a number of business programs and contributed to a number associations as key committee member. He has solid experience of working in government sector at senior level in both China and Australia. Erjiang has published over 30 journal and reviewed conference papers and delivered over ten presentations at the international conferences. He is winners of three international conferences awards. In 2010, He was awarded Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Chinese Students Abroad and the first prize of Chinese Chunhui Business Plan Competition.
