Erwan Motte was born in 1979. He graduated from the French telecommunication school Telecom Lille 1 in 2002, where he had specialized in microwave and optical communication systems. He then focused on the use of these technologies for Earth and Space observation in the frame of the international Master’s program “Radio and Space Science: Astrophysics - Earth observations - Technology” at Chalmers University in Göteborg, Sweden, where he obtained his degree in 2004. From 2004 to 2008 he worked on a microwave radiometer for the study of water vapour on the middle atmosphere in the frame of his PhD, funded by the French space agency (CNES) and the national French center for research (CNRS). He joined Starlab in January 2009 to work on space and microwave related projects.
he is now at CESBIO, France, working on airborne GNSS-R remote sensing for land applications.
