I am a Post-doctoral researcher at Pompeu Fabra University where I recently got my PhD. My interests are in normative and applied ethics. I have previously worked on the ontological and normative facets of abortion. I am now working on questions related to the badness of death and interspecies comparisons of happiness. I am also interested in several theoretical and applied problems in population ethics, in particular, how the consideration of nonhuman interests might affect decisions regarding which beings shall come into existence. Currently, I am assessing wether we have altruism-based duties not to raise children.
