About

I graduated from the Universidad de Chile in 2009, and obtained my PhD in Physics degree in 2015 in the same university. I am currently working with the Nanomaterials Group (www.gnm.cl) at the Universidad de Chile. I am interested in the applications of computer simulations of the atomic scale to the prediction and elucidation of materials properties. This includes classical molecular dynamics (for we have developed our own software, www.lpmd.cl) and ab-initio calculations. The specific area of study of my thesis is the materials on extreme conditions, like the interior of planets. Specialties: Physics, molecular dynamics, computer simulations, statistical mechanics. https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Felipe_Gonzalez-Cataldo http://www.researcherid.com/rid/G-3660-2014 www.gnm.cl/fgonzalez www.lpmd.cl fgonzalez@lpmd.cl
