Born in Mexico City Graduated from National Autonomous Mexico University in 2008: -Thesis: Study on the Role of p53 Protein and the Effect of a Tamarind Extract in response to a Renal Carcinogen in vivo, with Dr. Ibarra-Rubio ME as adviser. [Estudio del papel de la proteína p53 y del efecto de un extracto de tamarindo en la respuesta a un carcinógeno renal in vivo.] Moved to Taipei, Taiwan that same year with a Scholarship to learn Mandarin Chinese. Received a Scholarship from Taiwan's Ministry of Education for Postgraduates Studies. Accepted in Agriculture Chemistry Master program in National Taiwan University Transferred to Institute of Biotechnology PhD program in Dr. Shau-Ping Lin's Molecular Genetics and Epigenetics laboratory.
