About

My research focuses on the ecology of microbial communities. During my doctoral research, I addressed fundamental questions regarding the spatial patterns of alpha- /beta-diversity of soil microbes. I developed solid competences in next-generation sequencing and downstream bioinformatics analysis for characterizing the diversity of soil microbes as well as in various statistical modeling approaches to link their diversity with environmental characteristics.
