About

I am interested in host-pathogen interactions, cell biology, virology, and immunology. My current focus is the cell biology of innate immune responses against viruses and other pathogens. In my postdoctoral project, I am investigating the mechanistic details of inflammasome activation using custom-generated alpaca single-domain antibodies (VHHs). To do so, I have developed a functional screening platform to identify VHHs eliciting desired phenotypes when overexpressed in the cytosol.
