Francisco Baena (25 June 1982) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism at the University of Seville (Spain) where he has been a faculty member since 2005. He completed his Ph.D. and his undergraduate studies at University of Seville. His research interests lie in the area of media history, ranging from Early Modern news networks to 20th century journalism in Spain, with a focus on working-class propaganda. Nowadays, he is working on applying digital humanities methods to analyse history of journalism.
