A trial lawyer with more than 40 years of experience, Fred A. Schwartz has served as partner in charge at the Boca Raton office of The Kopelowitz Ostrow Firm, P.A., since 2011. With a focus on complex civil cases and white collar offenses, Fred A. Schwartz has taken hundreds of cases to trial and successfully defended clients against formidable entities such as the Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Attorneys' offices in more than two dozen federal districts.
Schwartz’s early career includes stints with district attorneys' offices in several counties in New York State, as well as the Federal Organized Crime Strike Force in Florida. He then began working for private law firms, eventually landing a position with Adorno & Yoss, where he gained extensive experience in trying commercial and federal criminal cases.
A 1968 graduate of the New York University School of Law, Fred A. Schwartz enjoys contributing to his local community by supporting organizations such as the City of Boca Raton's Education Advisory Board (for which he recently served as chairperson for five years) and the Miami Beach Park Advisory Board.
