Overall experiences • 8 years experience with interdisciplinary teams working with designers, technicians, psychologists, and others. Project experience working as Java developer in the international european research project INVSIP (Information Visualization for Site Planning). • 10 years experience in computer science, software & usability engineering and visual search systems in conjunction with my course of study at the University of Konstanz and projects with SIEMENS and Daimler. • 10 years experience with internet software, search engines, web (usability) engineering, IDEs and programming of applications in the course of study Information Engineering, internships and projects as company owner. • Internships at Internolix AG, Siemens AG in Munich, Daimler SEA in Singapore. • Since 2003 server administrator of two Linux-Servers at our human-computer interaction workgroup (websites and services: http://hci.uni-konstanz.de/ and http://akswt.uni-konstanz.de/, data bases, SVNs and wikis) • 2007 – 2009 lecturer at the VHS Konstanz and Singen teaching courses for Adobe products (Flash, Dreamweaver, Flashbuilder, Photoshop), HTML, CSS. • Since 2009 Professor for Interactive Media and Web Applications at the University of Applied Sciences for Technology and Economics in Chur, Graubünden, Switzerland. Education Since 2006 to end of 2010 – PHD at the University of Konstanz: Since back from Singapore I am working on my PHD in computer science at the chair for human-computer interaction of Professor Dr. Harald Reiterer in the research cooperation with Daimler (projects BEST and DASTi). 30.09.2002 to 20.07.2004 – Master in Information Engineering at the University of Konstanz: graduated as Master of Science in Information Engineering with the mark „excellent“. Since september 2003 research assistant at the university as project leader of the research project BEST in cooperation with Daimler. 01.07.1999 to 29.09.2002 – Bachelor in Information Engineering Universität Konstanz: graduated as Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering with the mark „excellent“. 01.03.1999 to 31.08.1999 – Study of Computer Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences HTWG Konstanz: Studied on semester computer science at the HTWG Konstanz. After that I changed tot he much more interesting course of study called Information Engineering at the University of Konstanz. 1997 – General qualification for university entrance at the Alexander von Humboldt Gymnasium Konstanz: my special courses were englisch and biology, and I was already very interested in informatics. 1988 – Basic education at the elementary school in Hegne. 1978 – Born in Ulm on 10th May 1978. Professional experience Since 01.09.2009 – Professorship for Interactive Media at the HTW Chur: Since 1st September 2009 I am working as lecturer and manager of the specialization Interactive Media (100%) in Chur, Switzerland. My main focus is building up the new course of study called Multimedia Production. Additionally I am working on several research projects in cooperation with industry partners concerning media convergence. Topics of the courses I am teaching in the consecutive course of studies Multimedia Production are Web 2.0, Social Networks, Object-oriented programming, New media formats, and Usability Engineering. 01.01.2007 by end of july 2009 – Research cooperation university of Konstanz with Daimler Ulm, Sindelfingen, Fellbach: Research assistant in the research group Human-Computer Interaction of Prof. Dr. Harald Reiterer at the University of Konstanz. Project leader of the research project BEST in cooperation with Daimler. Topics were electronic product data management and content-based image retrieval. 01.10.2005 by 28.02.2006 – Internship at Daimler SEA in Singapore: Intership at Daimler South East Asia. Management support for budget calculation and project management. Examination and documentation of established business processes and their mapping to the SAP system. Project lead for the introduction of SAP knowledge management systems. In-house consulting for RWD InfoPak (automatic tool for SAP process documentation). 01.09.2003 by 01.01.2007 – Cooperation Daimler Research Ulm & University of Konstanz: Research assistant at the research group for Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Konstanz. Project leader of the BEST (Business Excellence in Software Usability and Design) research project in cooperation with Daimler. Topics were agile software engineering, digital sales channel of the future, usability, design, aesthetics, user experience, joy of use and visualization of large datasets. 01.10.2003 by today – Business Owner: Leading my own small business concerning projects in the domains IT-consulting, computer administration, web programming, usability engineering and web design. 28.04.2003 by 05.09.2003 – Siemens AG Munich: Internship as student trainee at the department of User Interface Design. Conceptual design and realization of a research prototype for multimodal applications on personal digital assistants (PDAs) with JAVA and Macromedia Flash. 01.04.2002 by today – YMC Media Switzerland: Freelancer and consultant in several projects for YMC Media. Development of software concepts and programming with PHP and MySQL. Adaptation of open-source content management systems (PHP) to customer requirements. 01.04.2002 by 31.03.2003 – Student assistant for the research group Human-Computer Interaction, University of Konstanz: Supervision of interface design and usability tutorial groups.
